The NFL will release its schedule this week, and has decided on this Thursday in prime time. NFL Network reporter James Palmer tweeted word the schedule will be announced on NFL Network, the NFL App, and NFL.com on Thursday, May 7th at 8 p.m. ET for the announcement.

The league will roll out a normal 17-week schedule that kicks off on Thursday, September 10th and finishes with Super Bowl 55 on February 7, 2021. However, the league is preparing some contingency plans and already making some adjustments.

We already know the schedule will include zero international games. Additionally, the league is prepared to start the season as late as Week 6 if needed due to the Covid-19 pandemic. The Super Bowl could be pushed back as far as the last week in February, with a removal of bye weeks and the Pro Bowl if needed.
