Eagles trading for 49ers WR Marquise Goodwin

The Eagles continue adding talent for Carson Wentz. The team traded for 49ers wide receiver Marquise Goodwin on day 3 of the 2020 NFL Draft.

The San Francisco 49ers made their third player trade of day 3 of the 2020 NFL Draft. The team traded wide receiver Marquise Goodwin to the Philadelphia Eagles, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

The Eagles drafted Jalen Reagor in the first round of the draft, and already have Alshon Jeffery and DeSean Jackson on the roster. Goodwin brings some more burner speed, but health has been an issue. He appeared in nine games this past season and 11 the season before. He had his best year with the 49ers in 2016 when he caught 56 passes for 962 yards and two touchdowns. He’s also dealt with family issues that kept him off the field, so a fresh start in Philadelphia could help.

Goodwin is not somebody you’ll be investing much in for fantasy football. He’s not worth a flier for the time being, although if you want to grab a last or second to last round lottery ticket, be my guest.
