The Green Bay Packers struggled to find consistency from pass catchers in 2019, and it appears like they could be searching for a new tight end this offseason. Jimmy Graham is not expected remain with the team in 2020, according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.
Graham signed a three-year, $30 million deal with the Packers in 2018 but has failed to live up to expectations. He has tallied 1,083 receiving yards and five touchdowns in two seasons with Green Bay, but the five-time Pro Bowl player hasn’t close to matching his past production with the Seattle Seahawks and New Orleans Saints.
Graham isn’t set to become a free agent until 2021, so the Packers might try and get some trade interest, or simply release him. They have $20 million in cap space and are looking to improve upon last year’s NFC title game appearance by adding more quality targets for Aaron Rodgers to throw to.
