The first NFL game of the 2020 season is still five months away, but we now know who will be participating. The NFL announced on Tuesday that the Pittsburgh Steelers will face the Dallas Cowboys in the 2020 Hall of Fame Game in Canton, Ohio. The game is scheduled for Thursday, August 6th at 8:00 p.m., and is hosted at Tom Benson Hall of Fame Stadium.

The HOF game usually features teams with players being enshrined that weekend. This year, former Steelers safety Troy Polamalu and coach Bill Cowher join former Cowboys coach Jimmy Johnson among the enshrinees on Saturday, Aug. 8. This marks the seventh time each team will have played in the Hall of Fame Game, but the first time they’ll face each other.

A year ago, the Atlanta Falcons and Denver Broncos squared off in Canton. The Falcons opened as a 1.5-point favorite with a point total of 34, but the line closed at Broncos -2.5, with the point total at 35. This will mark the first NFL game on which you can wager since Super Bowl 54 wrapped up. The XFL has offered an alternative in the short term, but NFL preseason action is what many of us are waiting for in the betting market!
