The Jacksonville Jaguars announced on Tuesday that the team will play two of their 2020 home games at Wembley Stadium in London. They’ve been a regular team in London, but this year there will be a tweak. The Jaguars will play their two games on consecutive Sundays, making them the first team in NFL history to play two home games outside of the United States in the same regular season.

The Jaguars would not confirm who they will play in those games, but they did announce that their home games against the Pittsburgh Steelers and Chicago Bears in 2020 will be played in Jacksonville. The six home games that are in the mix are against the Houston Texans, Indianapolis Colts, Tennessee Titans, Cleveland Browns, Detroit Lions, and Miami Dolphins.

The London game can be difficult to handicap for both odds and daily fantasy football purposes. Having a second straight home game in London means the Jaguars will have that much more time to get ready for that second home game. Will that give them a leg up against the opponent?

The NFL has pushed to get a team in London, and this would appear to be the next step in that process. How it impacts handicapping is something to track as this likely grows in the coming years.
