The NFL wraps up the season on Sunday with plenty of playoff implications in Week 17. seven playoff spots are left to be earned. in the AFC, the Chiefs are the No. 1 seed and have the only bye, but in the NFC, the Packers, Saints and Seahawks all have a shot at that No. 1 seed.
Given the nature of Week 17, some teams will be going all out and other teams are just looking to get through the weekend without players getting hurt. The Chiefs are the only team that has absolutely nothing to play for and are planning to sit several starters.
This will impact traditional and daily fantasy decisions, but also sports betting decisions. We’ll track it all here throughout the week leading up to the regular season finale.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers vs. Atlanta Falcons
Coach Bruce Arians says his team will play to win against the Falcons. We can’t take a coaches word on this usually, but the Buccaneers can take the 5 seed with a win. The 5 seed would mean getting to face the winner of the NFC East, which is of course a team with a losing record.

Game day update:
My understanding is Matt Barkley will get “meaningful snaps” per source. Starter Josh Allen is just 40 yards away from breaking the team’s single season passing record. Bills also following similar formula to last year’s week 17, when they rested key starters.

Based on my conversations here in Buffalo, some info: The Bills are keeping their plans for the starters close to the vest, and there’s a few different factors in play, but the most important thing to understand... They want the 2 seed.
