The NFL is experimenting with something new in Week 16 of the 2020 regular season. The league will air a game nationally via online stream, with only a limited accompanying televised broadcast. There has been some speculation the league is trying this out in advance of an exclusive streaming deal.

The San Francisco 49ers and Arizona Cardinals will face off at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona on Saturday. The game kicks off at 4:30 p.m. ET and will air via live online stream on Amazon Prime and Twitch. It will also stream on mobile through the NFL, 49ers, Cardinals, and Yahoo! Sports mobile properties.

It’s worth noting that if you are in San Francisco or the Phoenix markets, you’ll get a local broadcast. In San Francisco it will air on KNTV, the NBC affiliate. In Phoenix it will air on KSAZ, a FOX affiliate.

The Cardinals currently hold the final NFC wild card berth with an 8-6 record. They are a game up on the Chicago Bears with two games remaining. The 49ers have been mathematically eliminated from playoff contention.

The Cardinals are 3.5-point favorites and the point total is installed at 48.5 at DraftKings Sportsbook. The Cardinals are -190 favorites at home, while the 49ers are +165 underdogs.
