The Washington Football Team is riding a three-game winning streak and knocked off the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 13 to seize control of the NFC East. They’ll try their luck on the road in Week 14 against the San Francisco 49ers, who have been forced to relocate to State Farm Stadium because of a Covid-19 outbreak. The 49ers are looking to bounce back from a loss to the Buffalo Bills and sit at the bottom of the NFC West.
Washington has thrived since Alex Smith was moved into the starting spot and Antonio has started to look like a star back in recent weeks. While his passing numbers haven’t been exceptional he’s connected with Terry McLaurin at a high level. Washington’s also has one of the best defensive fronts in football and could make Sunday difficult for Nick Mullens.
Mullens is has throwing the ball a ton as of late. The 49ers are getting healthy at running back and wide receiver but didn’t have enough firepower to keep up with the Bills. San Francisco can’t seem to decide between Raheem Mostert and Jeff Wilson at RB1 but Brandon Aiyuk has taken control of the receiving corps.

Fantasy football start/sit advice
Washington
Terry McLaurin, WR, $6,700
McLaurin had his first bad game in a long time on Sunday but i expect him to bounce back. The 49ers were picked apart by Stefon Diggs, Gabriel Davis, and Cole Beasley so one of the league’s best wideouts should be able to get on track as well after having his six-game streak with at least five catches and 74 receiving yards snapped.
J.D. McKissic, RB, $4,900
McKissic is about to start trending in the right direction while Gibson is dealing with turf tough. He also has tremendous PPR potential and was targeted at least 10 times for the third game in three weeks on Sunday. Peyton Barber will likely get more carries but McKissic has the highest ceiling if Gibson can’t play.
49ers
Nick Mullens, QB, $5,100
The 49ers aren’t treating Mullens like he’s Jimmy Garoppolo. He’s not putting up superstar numbers but has attempted at least 35 passes in four straight games. I don’t like the fantasy outlook of San Francisco’s plethora of running backs against Washington’s top 10 run defense.
Brandon Aiyuk, WR, $5,400
Aiyuk is averaging 20.95 DKFP over his last four games. He’s essentially become the 49ers’ best pass-catcher while George Kittle and Deebo Samuel have been out. He’s scored in three straight games and is in the process of becoming a return man for the 49ers as well. That role will only raise his ceiling.
