Week 14 Tuesday update: The Cardinals officially activated Larry Fitzgerald off the Covid-19 injured reserve list and he will be eligible to play in Week 14 against the New York Giants.

Future Hall-of-Fame wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald of the Arizona Cardinals has tested positive for Covid-19, and will miss the matchup with the New England Patriots this Sunday.

In his 17th season, the 11-time Pro Bowler is still as much of a force as he’s ever been. At age 43 he has 43 catches for 336 yards so far this season, and has been a huge part of the Cardinals being 6-4 and still in the playoff hunt so far. Fitzgerald is second all-time in NFL history with 17,419 yards via 1,421 career receptions.

If his absence is extended, it might bleed into the Cardinals battle with the Los Angeles Rams on December 6th in Phoenix. That divisional game will be huge for any chance PHX might have for staying in the mix for the NFC West title.

Before this announcement, the Cardinals were a 2.5-point favorite at DraftKings Sportsbook, and that line remains the same currently.
