New Orleans Saints head coach Sean Payton has taken heat for his decision to start Taysom Hill in place of an injured Drew Brees, but in Week 11 it paid dividends. Hill had his share of struggles, but he made some solid deep passes and used his legs to score two touchdowns in a 24-9 win over the Atlanta Falcons.
Payton isn’t forgetting the haters. Over the weekend, former Falcons wide receiver Roddy White tweeted that the Saints were going to get whipped by the Falcons if they tried to play Hill against them.
It didn’t quite pan out for White’s Falcons and Payton made sure Roddy knew he didn’t forget. Shortly after the game, Payton retweeted White’s tweet. He hasn’t tweeted anything else and seems comfortable leaving that one out there to marinate. How can you not love the Saints-Falcons rivalry?
