Report: Bengals trade Carlos Dunlap to Seahawks

The Bengals are unloading someone who didn’t want to be in Cincinnati, while the Seahawks are adding much needed depth to their defensive front.

UPDATE: The Seahawks are sending offensive lineman B.J. Finney and a 7th-round pick to the Bengals for Dunlap, per Adam Schefter.

The Cincinnati Bengals have traded disgruntled defensive end Carlos Dunlap to the Seattle Seahawks, according to multiple reports. The deal is for a player and a pick, per Ian Rapoport.

The news comes following two social media posts by Dunlap indicating he wanted out of Cincinnati. This past Sunday, he got into an argument with Bengals defensive coordinator Lou Anarumo, according to Ben Baby.

Dunlap has appeared in seven games this season and has 18 tackles, one sack, and two pass deflections. He joins a Seahawks defense that Football Outsiders ranks 9th against the run and 30th against the pass. FO ranks the Seahawks defensive front 11th in adjusted line yards and 28th in adjusted sack rate.
