Report: Bears practice squad player, Chiefs strength & conditioning coach test positive for Covid-19 on Saturday

The NFL has two new cases of Covid-19 heading into the weekend of Week 5.

The Tennessee Titans and New England Patriots have not had positive Covid-19 tests the past two days, and appear on track to play their respective games in Week 5, for the time being. However, the league is not out of the woods when it comes to Covid-19. Adam Schefter is reporting there are two new positive tests elsewhere: one is a Chicago Bears practice squad player and one is a strength and conditioning coach for the Kansas City Chiefs.

The Bears played on Thursday and don’t play again until Sunday in Week 6. The Chiefs are hosting the Raiders this Sunday. Kansas City had practice squad quarterback Jordan Ta’amu test positive last week in the lead up to their Week 4 contest with the Patriots.

Contact tracing is underway for both teams, and there is no word on the status of Raiders-Chiefs.
