Le’Veon Bell was out bowling after being sent home with the flu

The New York Jets downgraded running back Le’Veon Bell from questionable to out this past weekend due to an illness, but his Saturday evening activities would suggest he will be good to go for Thursday Night Football in Week 15.

Bell was a full participant in practice on Monday, and now the New York Post is reporting he was out bowling late Saturday evening in spite of the illness. Head coach Adam Gase sent Bell home on Friday to prevent him from getting other players sick and Gase was not present at the team’s Saturday walkthrough. Later that night someone got a picture of him bowling until 1am not too far from the Jets facility.

I certainly won’t turn down a chance at bowling a few frames, but I’m guessing the Jets will have something to say about it. There are a host of issues in the organization, and Adam Gase seems to not be getting all that much respect. Maybe he lasts another year, but things haven’t been pretty.

The Jets face the Baltimore Ravens on Thursday and don’t really have a whole lot to play for. Maybe they play for pride, but it’s possible things go further south before this season is done. Maybe more bowling outings!
