How to watch and what to watch in Vikings-Seahawks, Week 13 MNF

Minnesota heads to Seattle to close out Week 13 in a matchup between two teams with playoffs on the mind. We provide fantasy football advice and odds info.

The Minnesota Vikings travel to Seattle to take on the Seahawks on Monday Night Football for Week 13. Unlike last week’s lopsided affair between the Ravens and Rams, we should get a playoff atmosphere in Seattle for this game. Both the Seahawks and Vikings are very much in the playoff picture in the NFC, both holding down a wild card spot heading into Sunday’s main slate.

Game Time/TV channel/Streaming

It’s an 8:15 p.m. ET start, which means inactives will arrive at 6:45 p.m. The game will air on ESPN. If you prefer streaming, WatchESPN will have a live stream.

Fantasy Football Start/Sit Advice

Strong start: QB Russell Wilson, RB Dalvin Cook, RB Chris Carson, WR Tyler Lockett (if active), K Dan Bailey, K Jason Myers

Decent start: QB Kirk Cousins, WR Stefon Diggs, WR Adam Thielen (if active), WR DK Metcalf, RB Rashaad Penny, TE Kyle Rudolph, WR Olabisi Johnson, Seahawks D/ST

Sit: Vikings D/ST, WR Jaron Brown

Pick against the spread

So the Seahawks are favored by 3.0 points at home and the O/U as of Sunday afternoon is set at 50. For starters, this game is expected to be high scoring, though the Vikings are solid against the run. Minnesota should look to get Cook going early and ride him to control the clock in a tough road environment. That may not be easy if Wilson and the passing game for Seattle can get on the board first.

Oddly enough the Seahawks have been much better on the road (6-0) than at home (3-2) this season, but I don’t think that should take away from the 12th Man. This game should be close — as the spread alludes to — and in most instances I tend to lean the home team. I think Wilson’s ability to run will play a factor in this game and he’s the better QB than Cousins.

Pick: Seahawks (-3)
