The Los Angeles Rams have struggled to find consistency this season, but in Week 13, they regained momentum lost in their previous pummeling at the hands of the Baltimore Ravens. The Rams crushed the Cardinals 34-7 thanks to a strong defensive effort and Jared Goff’s best performance fo the season.

Goff threw for 424 yards and two touchdowns, and we got to see Blake Bortles return to action in the fourth quarter. Robert Woods was Goff’s primary target, catching 13 passes for 172 yards on 19 targets. Tyler Higbee caught seven of eight targets for 107 yards and a touchdown, and Cooper Kupp added six receptions for 65 yards and a touchdown.

A week after Lamar Jackson decimated the Rams defense, the unit responded by sacking Kyler Murray six times and converting two pick-six interceptions. They held Murray to 163 passing yards and an interception, and 28 rushing yards and a touchdown.

With the win, the Rams improve to 7-5 and retain their slim playoff hopes. The Rams are a game and a half games back of the 8-3 Minnesota Vikings and two and a half games back of the 9-2 Seattle Seahawks. Minnesota and Seattle face off on Monday to close out Week 13. If the Vikings lose, the Rams will be a game back of them. If the Seahawks lose, the Rams will be two back of both teams with the Seahawks coming to Southern California next Sunday evening.
