If this was a preview of Super Bowl 54, bring it on! The Baltimore Ravens eked out a win over the San Francisco 49ers on a last second Justin Tucker field goal. Baltimore improves to 10-2 while the 49ers dropped to 10-2.
Baltimore won 20-17 in a game that was a shootout in the first half, but turned into a defensive stalemate. The 49ers could do nothing to stop Lamar Jackson in the first half, as he had a passing touchdown and rushing touchdown to give the Ravens a 17-14 lead at halftime.
The 49ers tied it up with a third quarter field goal, but that was it until the Ravens managed the game-winning field goal. They got down inside the 35 and Tucker drained the 49-yard field goal for the win.
Lamar Jackson did not put together the kind of ridiculous performance we’ve seen in recent weeks, but he did enough against a stout 49ers defense. He finished the game with 105 passing yards and one touchdown, and added 101 rushing yards and a touchdown.
The 49ers got an unexpected performance from running back Raheem Mostert in place of an injured Matt Breida. Tevin Coleman started the game, but Mostert ended up dominating on the ground. Mostert led the team with 19 carries for 146 yards and a touchdown. With Breida potentially coming back in Week 14, this backfield is going to be a fantasy cluster.
Baltimore now waits for New England’s Sunday Night Football game with the Houston Texans. If New England loses, Baltimore takes over the No. 1 seed. The 49ers wait for Vikings-Seahawks on Monday Night Football. If Seattle wins, the Seahawks move into the No. 1 seed and the 49ers drop to the top wild card berth.
