Arizona Cardinals QB Kyler Murray (hamstring) will start in Sunday’s Week 13 matchup vs. the Los Angeles Rams. Murray had been listed as questionable heading into the game, but he also practiced in full Friday, so this isn’t all that surprising.
Fantasy Football Analysis: Arizona Cardinals QB Kyler Murray
Again, this was never really in doubt and we always expected Murray to start this game. However, hamstring injuries are tricky and this could hamper Murray’s ability to scramble and run outside the pocket against what is usually a tough Rams’ front-seven. Still, we saw what Lamar Jackson and the Baltimore Ravens were able to do to this Rams team on Monday Night Football last week.
Murray is a solid QB1 play for this week, though he carries a bit of risk. I think that’s mitigated a bit by the matchup, plus if Murray is 100%, his running shouldn’t be impacted all that much. Sure, there’s the possibility of re-injury, but we can’t let that cloud us here. As for DFS, on DraftKings Murray is $6,400, which seems a bit expensive. Murray is a good GPP leverage play and his box score gives us hope he’ll return that salary. Problem is there are other appealing plays in his price range, most notably Aaron Rodgers ($6,500) and Jameis Winston ($6,300).
