After reports surfaced that Philadelphia Eagles TE Zach Ertz was pushing to play, we now know that Ertz will be active for Sunday’s game vs. the Miami Dolphins. Ertz has been dealing with a hamstring injury, though he was able to practice Friday, an indicator he’s OK for this game.
Fantasy Football Analysis: Philadelphia Eagles tight ends
Ertz had widely struggled this season before breaking out the past three games. He’s combined for 30 catches and 288 yards with two TDs in that span, with at least nine catches and 91 yards in each contest. Ertz is back to producing elite numbers at the TE position, thanks mostly to the Eagles’ wide receiving corps being very banged up.
With Alshon Jeffery and Nelson Agholor expected to be back, plus the presence of Dallas Goedert, we’ll temper expectations for Ertz a bit. Though keep in mind, this is a great matchup in Miami vs. the Dolphins, who are one of the worst defenses (if not the worst) in the NFL. Ertz is good to roll out in season-long. On DraftKings, his $6,700 price tag is a bit high, but his ownership may be down a bit due to the injury.
