The Indianapolis Colts lost running back Marlon Mack to a broken hand in the midst of what could have ended up being his best game of the 2019 season. Mack had 109 rushing yards and a touchdown on 14 carries before suffering the injury.
Mack had surgery the day after his injury and was ruled out indefinitely. The Colts did not place him on injured reserve with the hope that he can return late in their playoff push. He will remain inactive in the meantime.
In Mack’s absence, Jonathan Williams has taken over as the team’s starting running back. Jordan Wilkins and Nyheim Hines will likely push him for carries, but for the time being, he’s the No. 1 back.
We will provide updates throughout the rest of the season as Mack works to get back on the field. Follow along here for updates as we see whether or not Marlon Mack returns and plays another game this season for the Colts.
