The New England Patriots apparently are a glutton for punishment. The team that briefly held the services of wide receiver Antonio Brown have decided it’s worth at least discussing the possibility of a reunion. Former Patriots tight end and current radio personality Christian said the team has had discussions about the free agent receiver.

Considering all the chatter about the supposed circus Colin Kaepernick would bring to a new team, it’s hard not to imagine the circus that would envelop Foxboro if the Patriots brought Brown back this season or any time in the future.

The NFL is currently investigating Brown following multiple allegations of sexual assault. The Patriots signed Brown after he forced his way out of Oakland. The Patriots kept him for a couple weeks before releasing him after the allegations surfaced. Brown has been a free agent ever since with no word of interest from anybody.

He faces a potential suspension or other league discipline, so any signing likely will wait until after the NFL announces any punishment, or lack thereof.
