Lions vs. Bears, Week 14: Pick against the spread
The Lions (9-3) eked out a win over the Saints in Week 13, avoiding a comeback attempt from New Orleans. Jared Goff passed for two touchdowns in the win, and David Montgomery and Jameson Williams each added a score on the ground. The Lions have looked shaky over the last few weeks — they fell to the Packers in Week 12 after narrowly pulling out a 31-26 win over the Bears in Week 11. In the two teams’ latest meeting, the Bears defense grabbed three interceptions from Goff.
The Bears (4-8) were on bye in Week 13, but they have now won two of their last three games with wins over the Vikings and the Panthers. The singular loss in that stretch came against the Lions. The Bears defense grabbed four interceptions from Josh Dobbs in their latest win, but their struggles on offense turned that margin into just a two-point win. They did not score any offensive touchdowns in the win.
While the Bears' defense has kept them close over the last few weeks, a big turnover margin doesn’t matter much when their offense struggles to find any leverage. The Lions should be able to bounce back here and cover on the road.
