The Los Angeles Rams (6-6) are back in the NFC playoff picture after a few wins and will hope to keep their momentum going when they head to the East Coast to face the Baltimore Ravens (9-3). The Ravens are tied with the Dolphins on record for the top seed in the AFC, and meet Miami in Week 17.

Rams rookie receiver Puka Nacua is dealing with a sprained AC joint in his shoulder but is expected to play. Ravens dynamic quarterback Lamar Jackson missed Thursday’s practice with an illness but should be good to go Sunday.

The Ravens are 7.5-point favorites at DraftKings Sportsbook, with the total set at 39.5. Baltimore is -355 on the moneyline while Los Angeles is +280.

Rams vs. Ravens, Week 14: Pick against the spread

The Rams have started to find their footing after some early struggles, and it’s largely due to the returns of Matthew Stafford and Kyren Williams. Stafford missed one game with a thumb injury, while Williams was on IR and returned in Week 12. That has given LA some balance offensively, although the ability to get both Nacua and Cooper Kupp going has been challenging. LA’s defense has played better over the last three games but this Ravens team is a different animal.

Jackson’s status obviously will get a lot of attention here and rightfully so. The quarterback hasn’t exactly been putting up MVP numbers this season, relying instead on playing clean football and letting the defense dominate. The weather forecast suggests the Ravens can do something similar here, although LA’s offense has the potential to wear down Baltimore up front. If Jackson is healthy, look for him to do a bit more damage with his legs in this game and get back to his MVP roots.

The Pick: Rams +7.5

I don’t think the Rams are winning this game, largely because the Ravens are so good defensively they can make up for an off-showing from Jackson. I just don’t see how Baltimore pulls away in this game by more than a touchdown. The Ravens have covered a spread greater than 7.5 just once, and that was in Week 1 against the Texans before C.J. Stroud exploded. Baltimore has notoriously given away games and the Ravens have often been in neutral offensively when jumping out to a lead. The Rams should be able to stay within a touchdown in this one.
