While the Cleveland Browns (7-4) are in the AFC playoff picture, they’re running out of healthy bodies. They’ll continue their West Coast swing this week with a game against the Los Angeles Rams (5-6) at SoFi Stadium.

The Rams are 3.5-point favorites at DraftKings Sportsbook, while the total is set at 39.5.

Browns vs. Rams, Week 13: Pick against the spread

The Browns are fresh off a 29-12 loss to the Broncos that saw them lose quarterback Dorian Thompson-Robinson and wide receiver Amari Cooper to injuries that could linger into this week. If Thompson-Robinson can’t go, then the Browns will turn to either PJ Walker (who’s thrown for 674 yards and five interceptions this season) or Joe Flacco, who they signed off the street two weeks ago. Additionally, star defensive end Myles Garrett is dealing with a shoulder injury, but is expected to play against the Rams.

The Rams are coming off a 37-14 win over the Cardinals, and are looking to get to .500 for the first time since October. Running back Kyren Williams made his presence known in his first game back from injured reserve last week, as he tallied more than 200 all-purpose yards and two touchdowns in Los Angeles’ win. Additionally, tight end Tyler Higbee caught two touchdown passes and seemed to benefit from the additional coverage generated by Cooper Kupp (393 yards) and Puka Nacua (924 yards).

The Pick: Rams -3.5

While the Browns have the best defense in the NFL, their offense is a mess, which should make all the difference. Their defense will have to spend most of their time on the field, which could lead to them surrendering some big plays due to exhaustion. The Rams offense seems to have found its rhythm now that everyone’s healthy, and I like them to make just enough plays to get past the Browns and cover the spread.
