Lions vs. Saints, Week 13: Pick against the spread
The Lions are one of the big surprises of the NFL this season, sitting with a winning record this late in the season for the first time in a long time. Still, it’s not all fine and dandy in the Motor City. They’re coming off a beatdown at the hands of the Green Bay Packers on Thanksgiving day. That loss snapped a three-game winning streak. But they’ve still been impressive this season with Jarred Goff at QB, Amon-Ra St. Brown out wide and David Montgomery and Jahmyr Gibbs in the backfield. Rookie TE Sam LaPorta has been stellar too.
New Orleans has not had as smooth of a season as Detroit has. The first year of the Derek Carr era has had plenty of ups and downs. They’re coming off a down week where they lost to the Atlanta Falcons right after their bye week. Losing games on either side of the bye week is not fun for anybody, and they’re hoping to right the ship this week to get back to .500 and remain in the thick of the NFC South race.
