Jacksonville (8-3) is just 3-3 at home, but they continue to pile up wins on the road like last Sunday’s 24-21 victory over the Houston Texans. The Jaguars appear to be the class of the AFC South and can now focus on playoff positioning and possibly stealing that No. 1 seed from the Kansas City Chiefs. They will need to continue to win and that includes Monday night.
Cincinnati (5-6) appears to be in trouble with the loss of quarterback Joe Burrow. The Bengals have lost three straight and their final six games are against teams above .500 and fighting for playoff spots.
The Jags are 8.5-point favorites at home. Here are a few player props to think about for this contest. All odds courtesy of DraftKings Sportsbook.
Bengals vs. Jaguars player prop bets
Joe Mixon — Over 19.5 yards receiving (-115)
Mixon had 44 yards receiving against the Steelers last week, which came a week after he had 31 against the Ravens — both games in which Jake Browning was the Bengals’ quarterback. While Browning limits the Bengals’ passing attack, it’s clear he’s looking for Mixon as a check-down option, which should lead to Mixon easily clearing this over.
Travis Etienne Jr. — Over 67.5 yards rushing (-115)
While Etienne hasn’t had more than 50 yards rushing in three straight weeks, he’s also been dealing with a chest injury that’s limited his effectiveness. He’s going against a Bengals defense that’s allowed the fifth-most rushing yards in the NFL and was just gouged for 99 yards by Najee Harris. If this game turns into a blowout in the second half (Jacksonville is a nine-point favorite), then Etienne should get plenty of work on the ground.
Evan Engram — Over 41.5 yards receiving (-120)
Engram’s had 5+ targets in every game this year and should have no problem clearing this over if he gets 7+ (which has happened in nine games this season). Steelers tight end Pat Freiermuth gutted the Bengals for 120 yards last week in the downfield passing game, which is where Engram excels.
