The Jacksonville Jaguars are on the road to take on the Houston Texans this week. These cats will be hungry for revenge after dropping the first meeting of the season between these two teams, back in Week 3. It won’t be easy. The Texans aren’t the pushover everyone thought they’d be when the season started, and they're riding a four-game winning streak at home. A win this week would not only prolong the streak, it would give the Texans first place in the AFC South.
The Jags are favored by 1.5 points, with the over/under currently sitting at 47.5 points, according to DraftKings Sportsbook. Here are some player props I like in this one.
Jaguars vs. Texans player prop bets
Dalton Schultz — Anytime touchdown scorer (+210)
One reason for the Texans’ home winning streak is tight end Dalton Schultz. He’s been a scoring machine in that stretch, finding the end zone in each of those four home wins. The Jaguars have allowed three touchdowns to opposing tight ends this season.
Calvin Ridley — Anytime touchdown scorer (+140)
Ridley leads the Jaguars with four receiving touchdowns. Two of those came in his last game, a 34-point offensive explosion against the Titans.
C.J. Stroud — OVER 5.5 rushing yards (-110)
Stroud actually lost a yard on his lone rushing attempt in his last game, but he put up at least eight yards on the ground in three contests before that one. More importantly, he’s had at least eight rushing yards with the Texans as underdogs against AFC opponents in four straight games now.
