We’ve got a Super Bowl rematch on tap for Week 12, but this one probably isn’t going to be on anyone’s must-see TV list. Fresh off a bye week, the 2-8 New England Patriots head down the coast to take on the 3-8 New York Giants.
The Patriots are favored by 3.5 points here—apparently not everyone’s buying the Tommy DeVito miracle—with an over/under set at 33.5 points, according to DraftKings Sportsbook. The pull of the under is strong in this one, but just because scoring is probably going to be hard to come by, doesn’t mean there aren’t some good player props to be had.
Patriots vs. Giants player prop bets
Tommy DeVito — UNDER 0.5 touchdown passes (+154)
DeVito has thrown five touchdowns in his last two games, but three of those came against a terrible Commanders team. The Patriots pass defense has been much better and they’ve had a week to rest and study film. DeVito’s been sacked 20 times in his last three games, which says to me that his current production is unsustainable.
Rhamondre Stevenson — OVER 58.5 rushing yards (-115)
The only reliable player in New England’s offense is Rhamondre Stevenson. Fortunately, for the Patriots and Stevenson, they’re going up against a Giants defense that’s not been good at stopping the run, having given up at least 168 rushing yards in their last two games.
Saquon Barkley — OVER 97.5 rushing + receiving yards (-115)
Again, it’s just a matter of volume here. The Giants are going to have to lean on Barkley to push the ball up the field. That should also include plenty of dink and dunk quick passes which should add up to a solid day in the box score for Barkley.
