Best player prop bets to consider for Dolphins vs. Jets in NFL Week 12

Henry Palattella goes over their favorite player prop bets on DraftKings Sportsbook for Dolphins vs. Jets in Week 12 of the 2023 NFL season.

On Friday, the New York Jets and Miami Dolphins will face off in the first-ever Black Friday NFL game. While the game lost a lot of its luster when Aaron Rodgers went down a season-ending knee injury in Week 1, there are still plenty of storylines to pay attention to. Here’s a look at three of our favorite player props from the historic matchup.

Dolphins vs. Jets player prop bets

Allen Lazard — Over 17.5 yards receiving (-110)

Lazard and Boyle were teammates in Green Bay in 2019, with the two of them linking up for a seven-yard catch in the fourth quarter of a blowout loss to the 49ers. I think they’ll lean on that connection on Friday in what will be Boyle’s first official start as a Jet. While Lazard had a goose egg last game against the Bills, he had 17, 18 and 45 yards in the three games prior.

Tim Boyle — Over 0.5 touchdown passes (-130)

Speaking of Boyle, I like his chances to get one touchdown pass against the Dolphins' good-but-not-great pass defense. Miami has allowed 15 touchdown passes this season and allowed Aiden O’Connell and Mac Jones to toss touchdown passes against them earlier this year. The Jets offense should look better under Boyle (imagine reading that at the beginning of the season), so I’m expecting him to find paydirt once.

Tua Tagovailoa — Under 249.5 yards passing (-115)

Tagovailoa’s alternated between hitting this over and under in his last four games, and is coming off a game where he threw for 325 yards against the Raiders. The Jets have the third-best passing defense, and I think this game will be a bit of a blowout, so they could turn to the ground game for most of the second half. Tua should have a good game, but I’m not expecting him to clear this total.
