We have a three-game NFL Thanksgiving slate starting at 12:30 p.m. ET with the Detroit Lions hosting the Green Bay Packers. Below, we’ll dive into this NFC North matchup to uncover our top three player props to consider.

Packers vs. Lions player prop bets

David Montgomery — Anytime TD & Lions win (-105)

The Lions produced the leader in rushing touchdowns last season when Jamal Williams crossed the goal-line 17 times on the ground. With Williams signing with the Saints in the offseason, Montgomery filled that vacancy and hasn’t looked back. Even though he battled some injuries this season, Montgomery has eight touchdowns in seven games. He has scored in all but one game, which happened due to leaving with a rib injury after only seven touches at Tampa Bay. Now, Montgomery will face a Packers team that allowed him to score three rushing touchdowns in late September.

Jared Goff — under 32.5 pass attempts (-115)

I’m expecting the Lions to run the ball heavily with Montgomery and rookie RB Jahmyr Gibbs both healthy. Plus, that’s a smart way to attack a Packers defense that ranks 20th in DVOA against the run. This would naturally lead to fewer passing attempts from Goff, who looked a bit erratic with three interceptions vs. the Chicago Bears last week. The last time Detroit played Green Bay, Goff only threw 28 passes compared to 43 rushing attempts for the team. I’m expecting a similar scenario to play out on Thursday.

Jordan Love — over 226.5 pass yards (-115)

As mentioned several times already in this article, I’m expecting the Lions to build a lead and run the ball. That would put the Packers in a position to air things out while trying to keep pace. Love has been decent in that role, going over 226.5 passing yards in 7-of-10 games this season. He posted 289 yards on the Steelers two weeks ago before hanging 322 on the Chargers last Sunday. Earlier this season, Love came through with 246 passing yards against the Lions, and Detroit is tied for allowing the 11th most passing yards per attempt (7.1) this season.
