The Miami Dolphins will go on the road to take on the Kansas City Chiefs in the Wild Card round of the 2024 NFL Playoffs. Miami had a shot at winning the AFC East and earning the No. 2 seed but lost to the Buffalo Bills, so it finished No. 6. One of the key reasons they lost was that Miami was missing some key pieces. Wide receiver Jaylen Waddle has missed the team’s last two games due to an ankle injury.
The Miami passing game runs through Tyreek Hill, but Waddle is still an important part of the team’s ability to build momentum and sustain drives. Waddle has played in 14 games this season and has brought in 72 receptions of his 104 targets for 1,014 yards and four touchdowns.
Jaylen Waddle injury updates
Thursday update: Waddle is questionable for Saturday night’s game. Head coach Mike McDaniel is “optimistic” that the wide receiver will be able to play.
Wednesday update: Waddle was limited in practice on Wednesday. He will have one more day to practice ahead of Saturday’s game.
Tuesday update: The Dolphins did not hold an official practice on Tuesday. Still, Waddle was estimated to be a limited practice participant if the team would have. This game will be on Saturday, so Waddle will have two days to practice to try and avoid an injury designation on Thursday.
