The Indianapolis Colts will take on the Houston Texans in Week 18 of the NFL season. The Colts have a shot at the playoffs and need a win to ensure that they advance to the Wild Card round. If they beat the Texans, the Jacksonville Jaguars lose to the Tennessee Titans, Indianapolis would win the AFC South and be the No. 4 seed in the AFC. The Colts may be down some running back depth as backup running back Zack Moss is dealing with a forearm injury.

Zack Moss injury updates

Thursday update: Moss was again listed as a full-practice participant but was listed as questionable for the game.

Wednesday update: Moss was upgraded to a full practice participation on Wednesday.

Tuesday update: Moss is beginning the week practicing, which is a good sign for his potential availability this week.

Fantasy football analysis

Moss has been a good fill-in and complement to starting running back Jonathan Taylor this season. He has played in 13 games and has 764 yards and five touchdowns on 177 carries. Moss has added 192 yards and two touchdowns on 27 receptions. He heads into Week 18 as the overall RB27 in half-PPR scoring formats.

The Texans allow the 12th-fewest fantasy points per game to opposing running backs. As long as Taylor is active, Moss’ upside is capped as a backup. Still, he should have at least some role in the offense and can be started in 14-team leagues or larger if he is active.
