New Orleans Saints wide receiver Chris Olave missed practice on Thursday and Friday ahead of the Saints’ Week 14 matchup against the Carolina Panthers. Olave is reportedly dealing with the flu and will meet with team doctors on Friday to determine how to move forward this week, per Brooke Kirchhofer.

Chris Olave injury updates

Friday update: Olave has missed the last two practices due to the flu. He still has a reasonable chance to play, but he may not be 100%.

Fantasy football analysis

If Olave is too sick to play on Sunday, we can expect WR A.T. Perry and tight end Juwan Johnson to pick up the slack in the receiving game. Quarterback Derek Carr is questionable with multiple injuries, so Jameis Winston may be starting against Carolina. Olave was able to play last week and finished the game with a team-high five receptions for 119 yards.

Wide receiver Rashid Shaheed is also questionable after missing practice on Friday, and Johnson is considered questionable after a limited practice.

Betting analysis

A good chunk of the passing unit is currently listed as questionable, and the Saints may just have more trouble than expected against this struggling Panthers team. For prop bets, lean on the Saints’ running backs, as we will likely see them get plenty of action. A.T. Perry’s receiving yards total is another good option to check out at DraftKings Sportsbook.
