Seattle Seahawks running back Kenneth Walker III re-aggravated his shoulder injury in today’s Week 17 matchup against the Pittsburgh Steelers. He walked to the locker room for further treatment and has been listed as probable to return.
Kenneth Walker III injury updates
Update: Walker has returned to the game.
Walker has been dealing with the shoulder injury for the past few weeks and missed two days of practice in the lead up to this contest. He was ruled as a game-time decision by head coach Pete Carroll and ultimately suited up. The second-year tailback has already made his mark on this game, taking 10 carries for 53 yards and a touchdown.
The Seahawks are currently entangled in a tight ballgame in the fourth quarter and would love to have their starting running back in for the final stretch of the ballgame. Seattle is currently clinging on to the final Wild Card spot in the NFC playoff race, so its imperative that it keeps its head above water here. The team could technically clinch a playoff spot with a win and a Vikings tie later this evening.
