The New Orleans Saints are taking on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 17 of the NFL season. Running back Alvin Kamara was tackled near the sidelines in the third quarter of the game and was seen being tended to by trainers following the play.

Before leaving the field, Kamara had 10 carries for 45 yards. He brought in both of his targets for an additional four yards. The star running back had been dealing with an illness this week, so it could be related to that, but the feeling from the media covering the game is that it isn’t related, and they’re leaning toward it being an injury.

While Kamara is sidelined, backup running back Jamaal Williams will likely see an increase in work. Third-stringing running back Kendre Miller was ruled out ahead of the game, so versatile wide receiver Lynn Bowden Jr. may see some snaps in the backfield.
