Update: Watson is officially questionable to return, which is ultimately a good sign regarding the severity of his injury.
Christian Watson (hamstring) is questionable to return.— Matt Schneidman (@mattschneidman) December 4, 2023
Green Bay Packers wide receiver Christian Watson suffered a hamstring injury late in the fourth quarter of the team’s Week 13 contest against the Kansas City Chiefs. Watson was taking a pitch on a jet sweep and got the first down, but was in two minds on whether to stay in bounds or run out with momentum. He decided to stay in and appeared to tweak his hamstring in the process. The speedster had to be helped off the field into the medical tent but eventually did come back out.

It has been a huge night for Watson with seven catches for 71 yards and two touchdowns, along with two carries for 15 yards. The receiver missed three games early in the season with a hamstring injury, and has battled the problem several times over his college and pro career. The Packers are no strangers to hamstring injuries, with star running back Aaron Jones also missing time with one earlier in the year. Watson likely pops up on the injury report for Week 14 but does have an extra day to recover with the team playing Monday.
If Watson is unable to suit up, look for Romeo Doubs and Jayden Reed to take on bigger roles for Green Bay. All three receivers have stepped up in recent weeks as this offense rounds into form, so Doubs and Reed are both viable fantasy plays if Watson is out.
