The Philadelphia Eagles played the San Francisco 49ers in Week 13. Despite a blowout loss, Philly was playing their starters late. Running back D’Andre Swift got absolutely popped with a legal hit from a 49ers defender and stayed down on one knee. He was escorted off the field by trainers.
Before getting injured, Swift was nearly non-existent in the gameplan. He had six carries for only 13 yards and brought in two of his six targets for another seven yards. While he is sidelined, and potentially next week depending on the severity of his injury, Kenneth Gainwell would take over under center.
D’Andre Swift injury updates
Update: Swift went into the locker room ahead of the rest of the team to continue getting evaluated for his injury. We likely won’t get any more information until Nick Sirianni provides updates.
Update: Swift was taken right into the medical tent for further evaluation. With such little time remaining and the 49ers able to kneel the clock out, he likely is done for the day.
