Noah Brown injury: What status means for Week 13 vs. Broncos

Noah Brown is dealing with a knee injury for Week 13. We break down what it means for fantasy football and betting.

Inactives update: Brown

Game day update: Noah Brown is expected to play on Sunday vs. the Broncos, per Adam Schefter.

After two days as a limited participant in practice, Houston Texans wide receiver Noah Brown sat out Friday’s session. Needless to say, that has him trending in the wrong direction for playing in Sunday’s game. The team listed him as questionable on the official injury report, and it’s looking like we won’t know his status until Sunday morning when the inactive list is released.

The Texans host the Denver Broncos this week with a 1 p.m. ET kick off on Sunday.

Noah Brown injury

Fantasy football analysis

This could be three games in a row for Brown, who’s been bothered by his knee injury for nearly a month. In Week 10, the last game he played, Brown exploded for 172 yards on seven catches. That was his second game in a row with triple-digit yardage, as he rolled up 153 yards and a touchdown in Week 9.

The Texans also listed Tank Dell as questionable this week, though the team was optimistic about Dell being able to play. Without Brown, Robert Woods has seen a little more action, though he hasn’t posted more than 44 yards in the last two weeks with Brown sidelined. I’d probably avoid Woods in fantasy, unless you need a flyer in a larger league.

NFL DFS analysis

Brown is listed at $5,400 in DraftKings leagues this week, which is a good deal if he plays. But that’s a risky bet at this point. With Brown’s status up in the air and tight end Dalton Schultz ruled out, I like Dell and Nico Collins for DFS plays this week.

Betting analysis

The Texans are three-point favorites here. Obviously, that’s an easier line to cover if they do have Brown in the mix. His status makes the over/under 47.5 a little more unstable too.
