Chicago Bears tight end Cole Kmet is dealing with a knee injury ahead of Sunday’s Week 17 showdown against the Atlanta Falcons. Kmet suffered the injury in the second quarter of last week’s 27-16 victory over the Arizona Cardinals and missed the entire second half. He was able to still catch four targets for a career-high 107 yards prior to his exit.
Chicago is still technically alive in the NFC playoff hunt heading into this Sunday’s contest.
Cole Kmet injury updates
Friday update: Chicago has ruled Kmet as questionable ahead of Sunday’s matchup against Atlanta. He did not practice on Wednesday or Thursday and was listed as a limited participant on Friday.
Fantasy football analysis
The Bears and fantasy managers alike would hope that Kmet would be available for this contest with so much at stake this weekend. He entered Week 17 as a top 10 TE in both standard and PPR formats, hauling in 70 receptions for 678 yards and six touchdowns on the year. If he misses the game, backup Robert Tonyan would fill his spot.
