New England Patriots running back Rhamondre Stevenson was officially placed on injured reserve ahead of the Patriots’ Week 17 matchup against the Buffalo Bills. Stevenson has not practiced or played since December 3, when he suffered a high ankle sprain against the Chargers. He will not play for the remainder of the season. The Patriots have been eliminated from playoff contention.
Rhamondre Stevenson injury updates
Stevenson is on IR with a high ankle sprain, but this doesn’t change much for the Patriots, who have been playing without him for most of December.
Fantasy football analysis
Ezekiel Elliott is the player who has seen the most upside in Stevenson’s absence. The RB has scored in two of the Pats’ last three games and has carried the majority of the rushing load. He has also been worked into the Patriots’ passing scheme.
Since Stevenson has been absent for almost an entire month, this designation won’t affect betting or props any more than it has for the last several Patriots games.
