Inactives update: Kmet is officially active to take on the Cardinals today.
Game day update: The Bears expect to have Cole Kmet for Sunday’s game, per Ian Rapoport.
The Chicago Bears will take on the Arizona Cardinals in Week 16 of the NFL season. The Bears have been eliminated from playoff contention and are playing for pride the rest of the way. The Chicago offense largely runs through Justin Fields and DJ Moore, but tight end Cole Kmet is still an important piece. He is questionable for the game with a quad injury after being a limited practice participant on Thursday and Friday.

Fantasy football analysis
Kmet has played in all 14 games this season. He has brought in 66 of his 81 targets for 571 yards and six touchdowns, all rank second on the team behind Moore. Kmet heads into this week as the overall TE7 in half-PPR scoring. The gap between top tight ends has been smaller this season, but still, losing Kmet would be a big hit to a fantasy football lineup at this point in the season.
The Cardinals allow the fourth-fewest fantasy points per game to opposing tight ends. If Kmet is active, he can be started in 12-team leagues or larger due to the matchup. If he misses the game, Robert Tonyan will take over as the starting TE. Tonyan doesn’t have the same value, so he wouldn’t be started unless you are in a huge 24+ team league.
NFL DFS analysis
There is not a DraftKings Showdown matchup between these teams for Week 16. If you want to roster Kmet in your regular DFS lineups, it will set you back $4,400. He has a very tough matchup as the Cardinals allow the fifth-fewest DFS points to opposing tight ends.
Kmet’s receiving line at DraftKings Sportsbook is set at 37.5, and his reception line is 3.5. He has +175 odds to score a touchdown in the game and +950 odds to score the first touchdown of the game.
