Saturday update: Pittman has been downgraded to OUT ahead of Sunday’s game against the Falcons. He cleared protocols but then re-developed concussion symptoms on Saturday and was downgraded.

Indianapolis Colts wide receiver Michael Pittman Jr. was in concussion protocol this week after taking a hit to the head in Week 15 against the Steelers. He has a questionable designation heading into the Colts’ matchup against the Falcons in Week 16. Pittman was a full practice participant on Thursday and was limited on Friday after sustaining a shoulder injury.

Fantasy football analysis

If Pittman is out, we can expect to see Josh Downs get an uptick in targets and yardage this week. DJ Montgomery and tight end Mo Alie-Cox each scored a touchdown last week and could have another big week if Pittman is sidelined.

NFL DFS analysis

Pittman comes in at $7400 in daily fantasy at DraftKings Sportsbook. He leads the team in receiving yards this season and has already hit the 1,000-yard mark, but has only scored four touchdowns. The Falcons allow the sixth-fewest points to opposing wide receivers in the league.

Betting analysis

Pittman’s absence would certainly be a hit to the Colts’ offense. Check out Josh Downs’ total receiving yard props at DraftKings Sportsbook, as he will likely become Gardner Minshew’s top target if Pittman is out.
