The New York Jets are taking on the Washington Commanders in Week 16 of the NFL season. New York wide receiver Garrett Wilson caught a six-yard pass in the first quarter and then hopped off the field. He is being looked at by trainers. Before getting hurt, Wilson had brought in two of his three targets for seven yards.
The Jets have not had the season that was expected of them, largely due to the injury to quarterback Aaron Rodgers. New York has now had a flurry of different starting quarterbacks, and the reigning Offensive Rookie of the Year hasn’t looked like himself. Wilson has played in 14 games and has brought in 79 of his 138 targets for 882 yards and three touchdowns.
While Wilson is sidelined, New York’s top pass-catchers are expected to be Allen Lazard, Xavier Gipson, and Jason Brownlee, who brought in a touchdown earlier in the game.
