Las Vegas Raiders running back Josh Jacobs is still dealing with a quad injury ahead of Monday’s Week 16 matchup against the Kansas City Chiefs on Christmas. He sustained the injury during their 3-0 loss to the Minnesota Vikings a few weeks back and was absent for their 63-21 trouncing of the Los Angeles Chargers last Thursday.
Josh Jacobs injury updates
Saturday update: Jacobs has been listed as questionable for Monday’s game against Kansas City.
Friday update: Jacobs officially returned to practice this afternoon after missing practice on Thursday. This is a positive sign that he’ll be able to suit up for the Christmas afternoon matchup and his status on Saturday should be a huge indicator over whether or not he’ll go.
Fantasy football analysis
Jacobs’ potential return would be very timely for the Raiders as the team tries to avoid being eliminated from playoff contention. He’s approaching another 1,000-yard season on the ground, entering Week 15 with 805 rushing yards and six touchdowns on the year. He’s the No. 15 RB in fantasy football heading into this matchup, so his return will be welcomed for fantasy managers in the thick of their league’s playoffs this week. Even with his potential return, I’d still expect backup Zamir White to get a handful of touches.
