The New York Jets will take on the Washington Commanders in Week 16 of the NFL season. The Jets could feature yet another new starting quarterback this week. Zach Wilson has been dealing with a concussion, and this may pave the way for Trevor Siemian to start in this game.

Zach Wilson injury updates

Friday update: Wilson has been ruled out for the game due to his concussion. Trevor Siemian will start.

Thursday update: Wilson did not practice again on Thursday. He remains in concussion protocol, and the team is preparing for Siemian to start in his place.

Wednesday update: Wilson remains in the league’s concussion protocol and did not practice on Wednesday.

Fantasy football analysis

Wilson had practically no fantasy value, so his being ruled out shouldn’t hurt your lineup. If you were planning on starting him for some reason, there isn’t a reason to start Siemian in his place unless you are playing in like a 32-team league and have to.

Siemian struggled against Miami last week and finished 14-of-26 for 110 yards with two interceptions after coming in for Wilson. The Washington defense allows the second-most fantasy points per game to opposing wide receivers. Even with the quarterback switch, Garrett Wilson can be started in 12-team leagues or larger. The Commanders defense allows allows the seventh-most fantasy points per game to opposing running backs so Breece Hall can also be started in 12-team leagues or larger.
