Miami Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill is still dealing with an ankle injury ahead of the team’s Week 16 matchup against the Dallas Cowboys this Sunday. Hill sustained the injury during their Monday night loss to the Tennessee Titans a few weeks back and ultimately missed last Sunday’s 30-0 victory over the New York Jets.
Miami is hoping to get him back for this big-time Christmas Eve showdown against another top playoff contender.
Tyreek Hill injury updates
Friday PM update: Hill is officially questionable after getting another limited practice in on Friday. It would still be a surprise if he wasn’t suited up for this matchup.
Friday update: Dolphins head coach Mike McDaniel told the media that he feels good about Hill’s chances of suiting up on Friday.
Thursday update: Hill officially returned to practice this afternoon. He missed practice on Wednesday and while do not yet know if he was a limited or full participant, it’s definitely a positive sign for the Dolphins to have him back on the field.
Fantasy football analysis
Hill’s potential return should be positive news for both the Dolphins and fantasy managers fighting through the playoffs at the moment. Even after missing last week, he entered Week 16 as the No. 1 fantasy WR, hauling in 97 receptions for 1,542 yards and 12 touchdowns on the year. If he does have a setback over the next few days, Jaylen Waddle will once again step in as the team’s top receiving threat.
Miami enters the game as a slight 1-point favorite at DraftKings Sportsbook. If Hill is active, I’d lean even more towards the Dolphins to cover and win at home.
