New York Jets quarterback Zach Wilson has exited today’s Week 15 matchup against the Miami Dolphins with a head injury and backup Trevor Siemian has taken over.

Zach Wilson injury updates

Update: The Jets are now saying that Wilson has a concussion. He’ll need to pass concussion protocol and be cleared by both a team doctor and an independent neurologist before being cleared for next Sunday’s matchup against the Commanders.

Update: Wilson has now been ruled out for the rest of the game with a head injury per CBS’ Tracy Wolfson, but is not being evaluated for a concussion A very bizarre sequence of reports as it’s gone from a wrist injury, to hydration issues, to now a head injury. We should get more clarification from head coach Robert Saleh after the game.

Update: Siemian remains in the game to start the second half for the Jets. The team also clarified that Wilson’s exit wasn’t due to injury, but to hydrate himself.

Update: Wilson went to the locker to also get hydrated per CBS’ Tracy Wolfson.

Wilson exited the game late in the second quarter and was seen walking to the locker with just over a minute left. The reigning AFC Offensive Player of the Week has been under duress all afternoon so far, taking four sacks before leaving the game. He went 4-11 for 26 yards before handing the baton to the veteran Siemian, who also took a sack right before the half.

We should get word on Wilson’s status shortly as the Jets find themselves in a 24-0 hole. The team can be officially eliminated from postseason contention with a loss and a Bills win today, so the team may very well decide to shut it all down here.
