The Washington Commanders will visit the Los Angeles Rams for their Week 15 matchup this Sunday and running back Brian Robinson Jr. is dealing with a hamstring injury ahead of the matchup.

Robinson suffered the injury in their 45-15 loss to the Dolphins two weeks ago and sat out for the second half of that matchup. Coming off last week’s bye, head coach Ron Rivera entered the week optimistic that his starting tailback would be able to participate in practice. In the days since, that has changed.

Brian Robinson Jr. injury updates

Friday PM update: The Commanders have officially ruled Robinson out for Sunday’s matchup against the Rams.

Friday update: Robinson was not spotted at practice this afternoon, per ESPN’s John Keim. This would mark his third straight day that he did not participate in practice and it’s looking more and more like he’ll be inactive for Sunday’s game against the Rams. We should get official word from the Commanders later this afternoon.

Fantasy football analysis

The loss of Robinson could potentially be a fatal blow to a Commanders team that would be eliminated from playoff contention with a loss on Sunday. It would also be a huge blow to fantasy managers who were relying on him in the first rounds of the fantasy playoffs.

B-Rob has been the most consistent part of an inconsistent Commanders offense and entered Week 15 as the No. 10 fantasy RB in standard leagues. He’s racked up 664 rushing yards, 326 receiving yards, and eight total touchdowns on the year, averaging 11.3 FP per game in standard league formats. If he’s ruled out, then we can expect a two-man committee of Antonio Gibson and Chris Rodriguez Jr. for Sunday’s game.
