The Miami Dolphins will host the New York Jets for their Week 15 matchup this Sunday and running back De’Von Achane is dealing with a toe injury ahead of the matchup. The rookie out of Texas A&M has been banged up throughout the season, missing about a month’s worth of action due to a knee injury earlier in the year.

De’Von Achane injury updates

Game-day update: Achane is active. Get him into your fantasy lineups. The team will need him with Tyreek Hillinactive today.

Saturday update: Achane is questionable after getting in a limited practice in on Friday. They also elevated RB Darryton Evans on Saturday, which could be bad news for Achane’s chances to play this week.

Friday update: Achane was spotted back at practice on Friday.

Thursday update: Achane was listed as a non-participant in practice on Thursday, the second straight day he was listed as a DNP. Miami held another walkthrough in the aftermath of its loss to the Titans on Monday night, so this is an estimation of where he would be under normal circumstances. Friday should determine whether or not he’ll be ale to suit up this weekend.

Fantasy football analysis

Achane has been electric when he’s been healthy and another potential lost game would be a huge blow to both the Dolphins and fantasy managers alike. Despite already missing several games, he still ranks as the 24th fantasy running back heading into Week 15. The rookie has racked up 581 rushing yards on a ridiculous 9.2 yards per play with seven touchdowns on the ground, also hauling in 18 receptions for 125 receiving yards and two touchdowns through the air. Managers have gotten their bang for their buck when he’s healthy as he’s averaging 17.5 FP per game in standard leagues and 20.1 FP in PPR leagues.

If he’s unable to go, then No. 2 ranked fantasy RB Raheem Mostert would simply handle the carries like he usually does.
