Packers RBs AJ Dillon and Aaron Jones are questionable ahead of Week 15 vs. Buccaneers

Packers RB AJ Dillon is dealing with a thumb injury, while Aaron Jones is back at practice going into Week 15 vs. the Buccaneers. We break down the news for fantasy football and betting.

The Green Bay Packers will take on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 15 of the NFL season. Just when it seemed like Green Bay had everything figured out, its three-game win streak came to an end with a two-point loss to the New York Giants.

Injury was added to insult as running back AJ Dillon may have ended the game with a broken thumb. He is the latest injury in the backfield, as starting RB Aaron Jones has missed the last three games with a knee injury. Jones wasn’t added to injured reserve, so the assumption is that he will be back for this game.

AJ Dillon injury updates

Friday update: Dillon is being listed as questionable for Sunday’s game.

Dillon has played in 13 games and has tallied 574 yards and a touchdown on 164 carries. He has added 223 yards on 22 receptions. Dillon didn’t practice on Wednesday/Thursday and will have one more day to get back on the practice field ahead of game statuses heading into the weekend.

Aaron Jones injury updates

Friday update: Jones is being listed as questionable for Sunday’s game.

Jones has struggled with the injury bug this year. He has played in only seven games and has 245 yards and two touchdowns on 66 carries. Jones has an additional 169 yards and a touchdown on 19 receptions. Jones was projected to be limited in Wednesday’s estimation and was practicing on Thursday.

Fantasy football analysis

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers allow the 10th fewest fantasy points per game to opposing running backs. This will be a tough game to judge because both players are dealing with a form of injury. Jones could be limited after missing nearly a month, while Dillon’s thumb injury could limit his ball security or ability to catch the ball.

If both are active, you can start Dillon in 12-team leagues and Jones in 14-team leagues. If Jones is active and Dillon sits, I’d bump Jones up to being startable in 12-team leagues.
