Los Angeles Chargers wide receiver Keenan Allen did not practice ahead of Week 15 as he dealt with a heel injury. He was officially listed as out for the Chargers’ Thursday Night Football matchup against the Raiders on Wednesday evening.

Keenan Allen injury updates

Allen was listed as out on the Chargers’ Wednesday injury report. He will not play against the Raiders on Thursday.

Fantasy football analysis

Allen’s absence may allow Joshua Palmer, Quentin Johnston, and tight end Gerald Everett to see more targets and fantasy opportunities on Thursday as they face the Raiders, but starting quarterback Justin Herbert is also out with a finger fracture. Allen’s absence will not affect his teammates’ fantasy earnings as much as backup QB Easton Stick will. The Chargers may choose to take a more rush-heavy approach this week without Herbert.

Betting analysis

With both Allen and Herbert out, the Chargers’ chances at Allegiant Stadium aren’t looking particularly good. In a situation where only Allen was out, we may encourage you to take a look at Palmer and Johnston’s prop bets for total receiving yards, but since Stick is starting this week, it’s hard to predict what the game plan could look like.
